On the Mighty Clarence |
Pandion is a 42 foot Brewer ketch. She was built and launched in Greece and sailed to Australia. She wasn't always Pandion. We came to associate her original name with the drawn out debacle of the ownership transaction and decided we all needed a fresh start. As well as being a beautiful word, pandion is the genus name for the osprey. We love 'em.

Removing the old name |
She has a 3/4 keel with a skeg-hung rudder and a centre cockpit. At this stage Malachy and Reminy share the V-berth but that ain't going too well, so a re-shuffle might be in order, or at least a curtain. Our soundest sleeper, Sylvie's in the "cubby" up behind the salon sea berth, and we're in the Parent's Retreat up the stern.

Safely at anchor in her home port |
We've pulled down the previous owner's pictures and put up our own, hung the guitar and uke, and we're yarn-bombing the mast (it's taking a while because we're new to knitting but I'm sure we'll get faster.)
We've named the multiduninous lockers after loved ones. Stay tuned for a post on this.
Love it! From Archie, Olive, Katie and Peter Angus xxxx
